Welcome to Abbey Kay — a place to be filled with encouragement through real life struggles, a source to ethical fashion & trendy finds, & a guide to my life in Reno, NV.

A few things about me: I desperately want others to know they are seen, heard, & not alone. I believe you should love your body at every stage in life. I think finding a balance in everything you do is more important than striving for perfection. I will always drink black coffee & never not have black nails. I try my best to be open, honest, & real by showing up for others.

Always know that life is unpredictable, but it’s still worth experiencing every up & down it has to offer.

I’m so glad you’re here & can’t wait to connect!

  • I can’t sew!

Yeah, I know… A girl who absolutely loves clothes and fashion but she can’t sew. Too silly to be true, but it is! I’ve tried helping my mom and grandma sew baby blankets before and I always mess it up. I’m the worst at it, I guess I just need more practice! Oh well. Anyways,…

  • Jean vest is always best!

Bringing back the old fashion trend of jean vests was the best idea ever. I love wearing mine. They’re so versatile and pretty comfortable as well. They change up any outfit without a doubt giving it an edge or even a laid back feel. They’re great for so many occasions as well. Here’s how I…

  • Wedding Fever!

Yesterday my friend Micah and I went to our friend Amanda’s sisters wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous! It was up at a Mt. Rose Ski Lodge and the view was absolutely breath taking. Not to mention the bride, she looked absolutely stunning in her laced halter top vintage styled dress. It was so overwhelming for…

  • Nerd Cupcakes

The other night I attempted to make vanilla cupcakes with little rainbow Nerd candies baked inside. My coworker Dominic came up with this crazy idea one day and challenged me to do it. So I do and let me tell you… They are seriously the best cupcakes I have ever made! They kind of tasted…

  • Living for what matters

So the night before I wore this outfit I went to dinner with a friend. I hadn’t seen him for awhile and things well started off slow. But while we ate and he talked I just sat there and kept thinking about all the things he was talking about. I literally sat there in silence…

  • 4thgotten

Hey everybody! Sorry but I forgot to post what I did for the fourth! How un-American of me. Anyways, for starters here’s for a little background history of my life. Every fourth of July my family and I get together with some friends of ours that live in Georgia. They moved from Nevada to Atlanta…

  • Senators and Birthdays

This last Saturday was my mom’s birthday (happy birthday mom!) and my family and I had the opportunity to travel from Reno to her home town Smith Valley. My oldest brother Trevor works for one of our Senators here in Nevada and he had a fundraising event that we all luckily got to attend. So…

  • Red All Over…

Today my family and I went up to Tahoe with some of our family friends that are visiting from Georgia. We all had a great time… Except I got burnt in more than one way! I of course got a sun burn up at the lake that will soon turn into a tan (score) but…
