Welcome to Abbey Kay — a place to be filled with encouragement through real life struggles, a source to ethical fashion & trendy finds, & a guide to my life in Reno, NV.

A few things about me: I desperately want others to know they are seen, heard, & not alone. I believe you should love your body at every stage in life. I think finding a balance in everything you do is more important than striving for perfection. I will always drink black coffee & never not have black nails. I try my best to be open, honest, & real by showing up for others.

Always know that life is unpredictable, but it’s still worth experiencing every up & down it has to offer.

I’m so glad you’re here & can’t wait to connect!

  • rad threads

I rocked some handmade mom & pop products yesterday. They’re two of my favorite brands & they just happen to be run by a pair of sisters. One is Monroe & Harlow who make handmade headbands, & the other is Rad Republic Threads who make custom tees, tanks, & hats. They’re both such awesome people…

  • the jumpsuit

There’s this trend that’s been going around & I’ve finally gotten ahold of it for myself. I’m talking about the jumpsuit. The long legged, one pieced, all comfort, pants & top connected article of clothing that is a staple for every wardrobe. I have rompers, the short version of this design. But I’ve been loving…

  • all black stripes

Okay, so maybe color hasn’t quite taken over my wardrobe yet… Because I’m still so in love with the color black, especially in stripe form! There’s just something about it that makes my little fashion heart swoon! So though I am bringing in more vibrant hues, don’t be shocked when I go back to my…

  • blue print

My outfits have been getting more colorful lately & I’ve been loving every minute of it! I’ve also been incorporating more prints. This tank from yesterday was a bit of both. I call it, the blue print. I spotted it at Forever 21 last week & was really loving the boho vibe if it. I’ve…

  • my momma’s dress

About a year or so ago my mom was cleaning out her closet & I asked her if I could go through the stuff she didn’t want anymore. She gave me a pile of maxi dresses that I remember her wearing when I was younger. There’s this red one with yellow flowers on it that…

  • the white shoes

So I have these pair of shoes. They’re white. And I can’t stop wearing them! I seriously think I’ve worn them almost every day since I got them a few weeks ago. White shoes are most girls worst nightmare. But I just love them for spring! The color is the perfect colorless pop! They make…

  • make you hipster

What makes you hipster? I have no idea. But that’s been the fad thing to be or not to be for the last few years. Is it a trend? Is it a people? Is it a way of life? I have no idea. To me, a hipster is a person who comes off as fashionable…

  • dressy mondays

Mondays always seem to get the best of me. Especially after a long trip. I just want them to go away & never come back again! Even though they do in just 6 more days… Mondays usually call for leggings & tees because that’s all I an muster to wear. But when the weather gets…

  • fremont st.

I’m finally home from Vegas & I had the best time ever! Saturday was spent shopping at two different malls & trying out new foods & restaurants. Yesterday we stopped & had breakfast at a local coffee shop where I had an iced almond milk latte, so good! Then we headed to the downtown district…

  • the daisy kimono

Two trends I’ve been eyeing this spring season is the kimono & the daisy pattern, both of which I love. I have about 3 or 4 kimonos of all spectrums in my closet as of late but had yet to find a daisy patterned piece that worked with my other latest obsessions. Well, last week…
