Welcome to Abbey Kay — a place to be filled with encouragement through real life struggles, a source to ethical fashion & trendy finds, & a guide to my life in Reno, NV.

A few things about me: I desperately want others to know they are seen, heard, & not alone. I believe you should love your body at every stage in life. I think finding a balance in everything you do is more important than striving for perfection. I will always drink black coffee & never not have black nails. I try my best to be open, honest, & real by showing up for others.

Always know that life is unpredictable, but it’s still worth experiencing every up & down it has to offer.

I’m so glad you’re here & can’t wait to connect!

    monday morning encouragement

Every time I sit down to write one of these encouraging pieces lately I tend to over think the topic & make it so complicated. I want to shy away from that & turn this series back into my original plans for it. I want this Monday morning space to be home to the words…

Flavor of the week: I’m talking about food here guys, not hunny’s. I made an amazing Whole30 meal consisting of roasted turkey italian sausage links, grilled zucchini, potatoes, onions, & cherry tomatoes, & a garlic spaghetti sauce. Oh boy, it was delicious! Projects of the week: This week I posted some encouragement & about wearing luella. Next week, you can expect too…

I love graphic tees. Like, LOVE them. I love the food focused ones, I love the punny ones, I love the BA girl empowerment ones,  & even the ones that rep a company’s logo. I love them all. You can just say so much with a simple t-shirt if the design is done well. Lucky…

monday morning encouragement: i’m doing whole 30 (again)

January is the time that everybody & their mother (literally, their moms) start trying to eat healthy again after the holidays. So many people make a resolution to lose weight, go to the gym, & be all around better again. But sadly, this month & the start of a new year don’t hold any more…

    monday morning encouragement: reflection

Oh boy, this year has already been a doozy for me. I have had no motivation to do the projects I want to accomplish. I have no oomf to get me going in the badass girlboss direction I want this year to head in. I don’t even have the energy to write down the goals…

    a look back at 2017

This year was a very wild ride for me. I experienced so much that it’s crazy to think only 12 months have gone by. It went so fast & so much happened. I went on some memorable adventures, had many opportunities come my way, & have tackled quite a few fears. It’s the year that…

Happy Friday! Today, I want to introduce you to someone who means a whole bunch to me. Say hello to my sister-in-law, Shelby! Shelby married my brother almost five years ago & we instantly became best friends just before he popped the question! I am so lucky to have her in my life as a…
