Two Sundays ago I was lucky enough to participate in a styled photoshoot with a BUNCH of local Reno businesses & babes. There were so many great vendors involved & it was such a great time getting to meet & reconnect with so many ladies in the local creative community. I seriously love being in styled shoots because I feel comfortable in front of the camera & I enjoy it so much. It’s totally my element & I feel the most inspired & confident after a photoshoot & it leaves me feeling like I can take on the world & accomplish anything. I think every girl should participate in a styled shoot at some point in their lives because trust me, you can take a good photo even if you don’t think you can & you deserve to feel beautiful & confident too!
Sierra Water Gardens new plant shop & Airbnb was the location for the day & it was seriously amazing to get to be at such a gorgeous local spot. I was surrounded by such beautiful women that day who are all totally killin’ it in their field here in Reno. Honestly, that’s what I love about styled shoots, it’s the way that women can come together & use their skill & craft to create something bigger than themselves by working together towards a greater vision. We all have talents that shine standing alone, but when we bring them together they turn to gold.
The outfit that I wore was from the Biggest Little Fashion Truck, which is literally a boutique on wheels. These pink velvet wide legs pants are seriously what outfit dreams are made of & I was so glad I was able to make them my own after the shoot was done. We styled the pants with a simple black v-neck tee & I was already wearing black booties to tie the look together. My makeup was done by BrandiLocks Glam Co. & my hair was done by local stylist Nicole, who’s work looked great accessorized by my famous brown hat! Whole Foods Reno supplied all the edible props for the day & Wildflower Events & Creative did all the shoot styling. While Loominescence Home Decor & More supplied us with all the macrame & Educated Earthling also supplied some graphic tees. I was able to model with local travel blogger Caitlin of Escape Reno, & other local gals in the images captured by Erin Nicole Photo.
I seriously walked away from the day feeling so grateful that I am in the field that I am. Like, I get to model in photoshoots & meet rad GIRLBOSSES all the time while doing something I love! How freaking cool is that? I am still always in awe that this is the life that I get to live! If I could be in a styled shoot everyday I seriously would because I love them THAT much! So any bad ass photographers or creatives out there reading this, you know who to hit up when you’re needing a photo subject! Thanks so much to Amber for setting this entire thing up, I really had a blast!
Always know that beauty radiates from confidence & that there is no such thing as competition when we all realize that other’s dreams have a place in the community too.
