nordstrom rack reno

Last week I had the chance to go check out Reno’s local Nordstrom Rack store after being invited to by the staff. Over on my @abbeykayblog Instagram account I took you all on a tour of the store via my Instagram Stories & it was so much fun. I’ve shopped at this location before a few times & have picked up things like decor pillows, Christmas gifts & clothes for my baby niece, but I was surprised to get responses from a ton of you saying  that you didn’t even know we had one in town. If you’re not familiar with Reno, the norm was to go to Roseville, about two hours away, in order to shop at a Nordstrom Rack. But just over a year ago we got our own store & I was shocked that many of you didn’t even know that!

If you missed the tour of the store then you missed out on discovering that Nordstrom Rack is a great store to get name brand items for less than the price of what they would be at their own store, or even a regular Nordstrom store. They carry brands like Free People, Michael Kors, Topshop, Nike, & just introduced the brand Madewell. They have such on trend items like velvet, ruffles, embroidery, athleisure, “dad hat”s, & more. Their shoe section is top notch with brands like Steve Madden, Adidas, & Minnetonka & they carry pink velvet booties, guys!

If you’re not into buying clothes right now, then check out their home department. I died over the glassware they sell & they had a cute little cheese board that I wanted so bad. They carry holiday items too! Ornaments, wood trees, mugs, they have it all. Pillows, & blankets? Yep, they have those too & I’m not gonna lie, I could have curled up & taken a nap right in the middle of the store because they were all so soft!

Nordstrom Rack is truly a place you can go & get something for everyone. I might have even spotted a pink Instastax camera there for a way low price. I ended up picking up a sweater from Madewell,  a hoodie & long sleeve shirt from Nike, & the cutest little cacti s+p shakers. Fun fact: I’m a collector of salt & pepper shakers & this is my second set of cacti ones!
