abbey kay & honey and the hive

A few months ago I had the opportunity to collaborative with & model for Honey and the Hive, a small business that hand paints designs for apparel, mugs, & prints. I first came across this shop through Instagram & instantly fell in love with it’s strong hues of color, punny food related sayings, & of course the fact that they carried mugs! I owned a few of shop owner Kelsey’s pieces before this collab & loved the tee she sent me even more! It was such an honor to be picked as one of eight sizing models for a brand that I love & I couldn’t thank her enough for this opportunity.

I teamed up with local photographer Taylor Kern to make the magic happen. Taylor has such a creative & unique eye & I knew she’d make these tees look amazing. We went to a rooftop in downtown Reno & even too some shots inside one of my favorite local coffee shops, Old World Coffee. She’s so great at what she does, & I’m more & more amazed with her work each time we shoot together.

Working on this shoot with two creatives is honestly what dreams are made of. I never thought this would be my life, but I so love that it is. It’s in moments like these that I find true joy, when ideas are made, visions are seen, & they’re both brought together to create something still & beautiful. You don’t stumble upon a life like this, you fully have to seek it, work hard at it, & live it graciously.
