Yesterday I texted my oldest brother & asked him, “How hard is it to get to Italy?”. Not even a full minute later he called me & we spent the next hour and a half talking about over seas travel, mission trips, & traveling to new cities. Out of my entire family, he’s the one person who gets my love for exploring new places & finding adventure in them. When I was still in high school & he was in college he went & lived in Italy for a year, & explored all over Europe. Take the idea of a back pack traveling wanderlust, & that was him.
I’ve always wanted to get out of the city I was born in & I think that’s the same feeling for everyone growing up. Now, I love my city, but really enjoy seeing new ones as well. So when I re-downloaded the Snapchat app a few months ago & started watching all my bloggers friends both near & far travel, I got the bug.
The travel bug.
You could say I’ve always had it in me, but it’s finally starting to hatch & grow. And because of it, I want to GO!
Go see the world.
Go see Italy.
Go see the coast
Go see New York.
Go & be & live & find the hidden beauty in this world.
And honestly, I don’t think I was ready to admit it, or do it until now.
So where’s the encouragement here? The takeaway encouragement today is: grab your bag & go.
Head out on a road trip. Save the money. Book the flight. Live the experience. Take the opportunity to see or do whatever it is you’ve been wanting to. Just grab your bag & go!
Now is the time to live your life, instead of waiting until it’s all over to regret that you never did. So grab your bag & go, & see the world you were born into.
