Fall starts this week & it feels like the weather just started getting warmer. I can’t believe autumn madness is just around the corner even though some crazy’s have already started going full on pumpkin. This summer honestly blew by so fast & I feel like I did so much, but very little at the same time. So here’s a quick recap of my favorite moments from this past summer just so I can prove to myself that it was indeed a well lived one.
I did my first shoot Memorial Day weekend with my friend Taylor Kern (@taylorkernphotography) & it was so awesome. We just walked around our town’s midtown & laughed the whole time while we captured this fun look. You can see more pics from the shoot here.
My friend’s from church opened up a local coffee shop that has been one of my favorite places to go all summer. The aesthetic is so pleasing & the amosphere is just as great. Plus they make an orange blossom latte, & a lavendar latte that are both equally amazing.
I got to fly to my most favorite place in the entire world, Atlanta, Georgia, & spend a fun packed week there.
While in Atlanta, I got to meet the newest addition to my southern family clan, Miss Brice Katherine.
I go to the South a bunch, but I got to experience some new things this year. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens was a first for me as well as dining at Yeah! Burger & drinking some locally brewed beer. I even got to indulge in some craft donuts. But like always, I ended the trip with a visit to my favorite spot in Georgia, the Millpond. A scene from my favorite movie was filmed here & it’s in my second parents backyard. And of course I ate the best donuts from Atlanta. So good!
My most favorite thing from Georgia though, was getting to do a style shoot with the So Worth Loving company. It was such a cool experience & I’ll cherish that moment for a long time.
A summer ain’t complete with more donuts, coffee, & mixed drinks in my life.
My blog turned three this summer & this shoot done again with Taylor was such a fun moment to capture.
The Fourth of July was a killer one this year. My outfit was on point, I had festive donuts (of course) & I talked life over coffee with my two most favorite people in the world, my brother & his wife.
In July a friend of mine who owns a florist company made me a floral crown & we went out & did an impromptu shoot. I felt like a beautiful groomless bride.
Scored this dress from a local boutique & it was the best find of the summer.
I threw my sis in law a fiesta for her 25th birthday & it wa so much fun!
Some good friends of mine got married & it was so awesome to be a part of & witness.
I hiked. I repeat, I hiked. That in of itself is a moment worth documenting. It was beatific & I need to remember to do that more often.
I stepped up my coffe game. And my photography skills have improved as well.
This summer was one that was just a simple life lived, but I loved every moment of it. Here’s to the fall, colder things, & the beginning of the new. Thanks for reading!
