Lately, I’m into buying pieces that tell a story, have some sort of meaning, or are items that I know I’ll get a ton of wear out of. I’m so over the excessive amounts of clothing & I’m really trying to hone in on minimizing. This kimono ombré dress that I picked up from local Reno shop, C.U.L.T.U.R.E., embodies all of the elements I’ve been trying to incorporate into my look.

My town, Reno, hosts an annual Midtown Artwalk which is where local artists & shops team up for the night to turn our midtown into an all out art street museum of sorts. I go every year & this year I knew that I wanted to stop & check out a brand new boutique C.U.L.T.U.R.E. It’s located inside a small old house, which I love, & it’s filled to the brim with quirky clothes, accessories, & garmets for guys & gals. It was jam packed with all sorts of people when I arrived, but that didn’t stop me from giving it a look. I loved that almost all the pieces were solely black (heaven!) & that there were different types of styles for all kinds of tastes. I instantly eyed this multicolored neutral dress hanging high in the corner &couldn’t  take my eyes off of it. That piece had my heart from the moment I saw it & that’s when I knew that I just had to have it!

I wore it a few days later & got so many compliments on it. It’s so unique & that’s what I love most about it. Wearing it felt like a dream with the way it flowed on my body & the confidence it gave me was apparent in every stride. I loved being able to tell all my friends where I got it in hopes that they will soon visit C.U.L.T.U.R.E. too. Shopping & supporting local is a special thing I like to do. I love meeting store owners & being able to help support their dream & share all about it.

I see many days ahead where I will wear this piece & that makes it a total worth it purchase in my book. Best part about it? The deep v in front. Holla! So, so good.
