Can you believe that today is the last day of winter? I can’t! We didn’t have too cold of a season here in Reno, but I’m so ready for spring! Bring on the chirpin’ birds, the short sleeves, the bloomin’ trees, flow-y dresses, & the anticipation of summer! I just adore everything about transitioning seasons! But before tomorrow & the warmer weather hits, let’s share one more winter outfit & be grateful that it’s the last!
This past winter I feel like my style changed quite a bit. I wore an excessive amount of jeans, opted for neutrals other than the beloved black, & bought more minimalistic pieces that were also deemed timeless. This outfit envelopes that entire idea which seems too perfect of a way to end the season with a full looped bang! Best part? It also displays my new favorite trend for transitioning into spring: the longline vest.
Isn’t it a beauty? It’s from Forever 21, was barely a splurge, & has hidden pockets too! This will be my go-to piece all of spring & summer & I hope I don’t bore you too much by wearing it a ton. Don’t you just love those kind of pieces?! The ones where you know you’ll be wearing it enough to squeeze out every single penny that it’s worth. I sure do, & I loved the way it paired with this nude turtle neck & the dark denim. The accents of brown from the leather booties & the suede clutch tied the rest of the look together, but the longline vest was definitely what made this outfit like no other. Longline vests, where have you been all my life?!?
I’m ready to say goodbye to winter & hello to spring. I’ll miss the cloudy cuddle-on-the-couch-&-watch-Netflix-all-day weather, but am looking forward to the fresh, healthy, & light hearted start that is spring. Now who wouldn’t want to transition into that?
